Emily Riddle, PhD, RD is a nutrition educator, researcher, and registered dietitian. Her clinical practice focuses on providing patient-centered medical nutrition therapy and counseling to help her clients develop the knowledge, tools, and autonomy necessary to sustain lifestyle changes.
Emily’s work focuses on helping her clients make sense of evolving nutrition science so they can use the best available evidence to inform their healthcare decisions. Aside from science, Emily knows that the meaning of food in our lives is complex. Thus, while her approach is always rooted in evidence, it is also inclusive and realistic; she keeps a larger view of her clients’ lives in close mind.
In addition to her clinical and counseling work, Dr. Riddle is actively involved in dietetics education at the graduate and undergraduate level. She maintains an active research program and focuses on bridging the worlds of nutrition research with clinical practice. She completed her doctoral work in nutrition at Cornell University and is now an assistant professor of Foods & Nutrition at SUNY Oneonta in upstate New York. Emily is available for consultations via telemedicine.
