Dr. Mohamed has an impressive background in the medical field, with extensive education and experience in cardiology and related specialties. She obtained her Bachelor's in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine. She then pursued her medical degree (MD) at Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies. In 2011, Dr. Mohamed completed her residency in Internal Medicine at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, and at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, Connecticut.

In her pursuit of expertise, Dr. Mohamed completed Cardiac MRI/Research fellowships at New York Methodist Hospital and Cardiology at Drexel University College of Medicine Hahnemann University Hospital. She also pursued an Advanced Echocardiography Fellowship at Scripps Clinic. In addition, Dr. Mohamed holds several board certifications, including Internal Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Cardiology. 

She is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, and the American Society of Echocardiography.

Dr. Mohamed's dedication and contributions have been recognized with numerous awards and accomplishments, such as being the Chief Cardiology Fellow at Drexel University College of Medicine Hahnemann University Hospital and serving as part of the Social Media Team and as a Social Media Ambassador for the American College of Cardiology. 

She sees patients with a spectrum of cardiovascular diseases, including but not limited to lipid disorders/high cholesterol, coronary artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, heart failure, high blood pressure, abnormal heart rhythms, and valvular disorders. Dr. Mohamed also sees patients for general preventive cardiology services and weight loss. For individuals without cardiovascular disease, Dr. Mohamed can help you evaluate your risk for developing heart disease. Then, she will work with you to create a plan to optimize your health and wellness and work toward preventing heart disease.
