At IOPBM, we use Restylane Refyne and Restylane Defyne to smooth away “smile lines” – the wrinkles and folds that may form at the sides of the nose and run down toward the corners of the mouth. They are the only fillers manufactured with Galderma’s unique XpresHAn Technology™, which creates a smooth, injectable gel that can give your skin a natural, soft look, and is proven to maintain natural movement in the lower part of the face. The lower part of the face is constantly in motion, so it’s important to use a filler that supports natural movement and facial expressions.
Restylane Refyne and Restylane Defyne provide youthful-looking results. For most of our patients, the procedure only takes 15 – 30 minutes, and results typically last up to 12 months.

Restylane® Kysse is a new hyaluronic acid (HA) lip filler designed to enhance lip volume andminimize the appearance of fine lines above the mouth. It has also been shown to improve textureand lip color. It is the first HA lip filler formulated with XpresHAn Technology™ for smooth,natural-looking results, approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The XpresHAn Technology™ manufacturing process allows for a gel that integrates into the skin fornatural expression in motion.
Clinical results from multiple studies show that treatment with Restylane Kysse can provide addedvolume in the lips and improve the appearance of lines above the mouth, with results lasting for upto 11 months after the last injection. Lip fullness was improved 8 weeks after treatment in 87% of subjects and remained >60% up to1 year.
When assessing facial balance, keep in mind the rule of thirds tells us that the upper, middle, and lower thirds of the face should be equal in length. Chin retrusion disrupts this rule of thirds—especially since the lower third significantly impacts overall facial balance and attractiveness.

Restylane® Silk via cannula was approved for lip augmentation in individuals 21 years ofage and older using a small blunt tip cannula, which is a thin, flexible tube with a smallopening on the side that can provide an effective means for injection. It is the first HA dermal filler for injection into the lips via a small blunt tip cannula with a proven safety profile, approved by the FDA for subtle lip enhancement and the treatment of wrinkles around the mouth (perioral rhytids) in individuals 21 years of age and older.
Restylane® Silk lip injections via cannula is the latest FDA-approved advancement in HAdermal fillers and was developed to provide subtle fullness and definition to the lips fornatural-looking results with proven safety and efficacy. The ability to use a small blunt tip cannula for the injection of the HA dermal fillerRestylane® Silk allows desired fullness to an individual’s upper andlower lips and has a proven safety profile.
Restylane Lyft is one of the mostversatile products in the Restylaneportfolio and is FDA-approved to treatfive areas – the midface/cheek area,nasolabial folds (lines around thenose and mouth), oral commissures(lines at the corner of the mouth),marionette lines (vertical lines fromthe corners of the mouth down to thechin), and most recently, the back ofthe hands.
