Ms. Castro is a licensed and registered dietitian, certified in adult weight management. She works passionately to help improve the health and well-being of her clients.

Ms. Castro’s work focuses on developing food policies for healthcare that influences healthier food practices and culture changes for the community.  Ms. Castro Her clinical background extends from nutrition support in the intensive care to conducting research on human subjects, studying both the eating behaviors and social influences on the eating patterns of children. Her research has been published in several Peer Review Journals.

Ms. Castro was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and Celiac Disease back in 2001, as a patient of IBD and autoimmunity; she believes in the power of good nutrition and using food as medicine to heal and nourish the body.

Ms. Castro is the founder of Gluten Free South Florida, the local support group for individuals with Celiac Disease, gluten intolerance and sensitivities, and various digestive disorders. She is an active member of Dietitians in Gluten and Gastrointestinal Disorders (DIGID), a professional-interest group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.  For fun and a personal challenge, Ms. Castro is an endurance runner and a member of the Crossfit community.
