Hormone Replacement Therapy

Hormones function as the chemical messengers of the body. They are secreted primarily by glands and released into the blood stream, where they circulate to various tissues of the body. These hormones support brain health, help stabilize mood, and are critical for growth, healing, and tissue repair. Given this, it is no surprise that hormones play crucial roles in preventing the onset of many ailments, including cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer's disease, and osteoporosis. Considering all the functions that hormones influence, it is no wonder that we simply cannot have optimal health without having healthy hormones.

As we age, we naturally sustain an age-related decline in our sex hormones which lead to various health problems as well as a poor quality of life. For example, in women estrogen deficiency in menopause creates problems such as hot flashes, night sweats, and vaginal dryness. In men, testosterone deficiency can lead to loss of muscle mass, erectile dysfunction, and a low sex drive.

At IOPBM we offer bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) to help alleviate symptoms of age-related decline.  Let's look at each of these hormones:

• Testosterone Replacement for Men

• Testosterone Replacement for Women
• Progesterone and Estrogen Replacement Therapy for Women in Menopause
